Who we are
About Us
Sound of Silence Africa Initiative (SOSAI) is a premier, Deaf-led Organization of People with Disabilities (OPD) based in Uganda, originally formed by young Deaf students at Makerere University. Founded in 2019 and incorporated as a registered not-for-profit OPD in 2023, SOSAI bridges the Deaf and hearing communities through sign language education, systemic advocacy and assistive technology.
